Club Monteverdi A crossed-dates musical scherzo breaks the Ancient Music scene by the combination of mobile apps, emotions, a theorbe, Batman, cocktails, madrigals, an orgy, audience participation, operatic aris, blind dates, sadomasochism and period performing in a theater feast with a script of Jordi Pérez Solé by order of Vox Harmonica Ensemble.
What do Monteverdi and Batman have in common? Two heroes who are four centuries away and inspire radically distant intellectual segments: mass icons versus academic icons. From the revolutionary music of the chapel master of San Marco in Venice to the contemporary mass culture there’s a bridge we are proposing you to explore: Club Monteverdi.
Club Monteverdi stands as a bridge between the early modern culture from the XVIIth century and our
nowadays modern culture.
A freaks groupe composed by a theorbist barman, a pansexual surgeon, an agressive businesswoman, a desperate housewife and a tourist with an Orfeo-named profile are gathering with the aim of experimenting monteverdian affetti at the time they release their emotional, affective and sexual fantasies.
Combined with text by Jordi Pérez Solé, Claudio Monteverdi’s music flows with the thrilling action of twenty date scenes worthy of Dates BBC Series.
