Schubert From Near
Released on March the 12th 2016 at MAC (Museu d’Art de Cerdanyola).
On Tour Production.
Schubert From Near explores the Lied genre gathering Franz Schubert’s music with performance and art perfume. We go inside the early XIXth centurie’s secular spirituality through three main subjects: Devotion, Melancholy and Celebration. Goethe, Heine and Rellstab’s poetry grow up with synaesthetic help coming from actress Berta Vidal performance and the tasting of the three art perfumes specially designed for any of the subjects.
If Schubertiads organised by Schubert himself were becoming an Arts Gathering Celebration, why are we nowadays insisting in considering that we must offer his songworks through a simple piano and voice recital?
We are proposing to go beyond poetry’s aesthetic enjoyment following, on the one hand, the voices of soprano Ulrike Haller and bass Antonio Fajardo and, on the other hand, the simple and elegant theatrical performance of actress Dolça Cos.
ambience, three fragrances exclusively composed for the occasion by perfumer Alberto ‘Bertie’ Fernández.
Time and space are dyed by images from the great German poets in a synaesthetic adventure that opens consciousnesses while twins the audience’s breasts. Hearts fulfilled with the living enjoyment that share admiration towards the Arts without forgetting its fragility and impermanence.
